Evolution….. The LIE!! according to the bible.. Jesus is creator

Category: Ramblings

CreationOkay.. Here we go… (puts on riot gear, picks up bible..)
Right, now that I’m prepared for the angry mob that is about to try destroy me,
let me just point out something about evolution from a Christian point of view.

I’m not going to argue molecular biology, or thermo dynamics.. Because as much as we all wish we knew what we were talking about, we don’t.

Have you ever looked at the alternative theories?? Maybe try www.answeringenesis.org?
Surely these Christian scientist have it right? They have the exact same facts, and all have there Phd’s and Masters in some degree, yet somehow they disagree and say evolution is but a theory with no scientific proof…

Right, now to the point.. I find it strange when Christians try to argue pro-evolution.. Let me just explain why..
Three simple reasons :
1) When God created the universe (i’m not here to debate age of earth) he created it perfectly. No SIN!! With no sin, there is no death (Romans 5:12, sin entered the world through one, and death through sin.) So before Adam and Eve sinned, and rebelled against God, there was no death. If there was no death, how could there ever have been an evolutionary process?

2) If evolution did take place.. That means that there was no initial sin.. I.e. God created the world with sin. If so, our awesome God is an imperfect God. How can we trust and imperfect God? He can’t even create the world properly.. Thus sending Jesus to die on the cross for us, was rather to cover up his own stupidness, rather than free us from the Slave master called sin.. (see how suddenly it isn’t about our imperfections anymore, but rather God’s in ability to plan ahead?)

3) The problem with allowing evolution to creep into theology is that you are basically saying “God, you did not create me, it was all by chance.” If this is the case, we undermine Gods authority over us, we undermine God’s authority over creation and we undermine the bible..

See the devil is very sneaky. He doesn’t just create out-right lies and then expect us to believe them.. No, what he does is create other truths that actually take us away from God’s word without us knowing it.

See, evolution does the following :
* It removes initial sin, and thus actually destroys Gods credibility, and the Jesus’ purpose.
* It removes God’s authority over us. (For he who did not create us can’t judge us.)
* It removes Gods word , places the bible in doubt, and allows doubt and fallacies to creep in to our understand of God.

You see, at the heart of evolution, what it is actually saying is this “God you are not our creator”, and if that is true, then Jesus died in vain.

For if he is not the creator or sustainer of the universe. How could he ever save us?

=====================================================
Update::: I have decided to update this post to be more biblical.. I apologize for the lack of scripture before hand.(more 2 come)
===================================================

Excluding genesis (of course.. purely to not state the obvious) the bible has quite a lot to say about how the world came into being..

Well in
In John 1 : 1-5 we have the following :

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.

Then in Colossians 1 : 15 -18 it says
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Now clearly the bible’s point of view is that Jesus created the world..
Okay, now I know that some of you might argue that it is all just metaphors.
If that is the case… Prove it.. You can’t just claim it, with out proof.
I would say this is fair.. And you can’t say something like “It isn’t true because science says so..” No.. Science just says it isn’t probable because science doesn’t include God..

And why did God allow creation to take place the way he did?? (according to the bible)

Romans 1 :19 - 20
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse

So that men would be without excuse, and say.. “We didn’t not know that God existed..” That is why God created the world in the way he did.. To help us come to know him better.. What an awesome God we have..

I hope that you all read this post, and meditate not on the things of man, but the things of God..

Or as Paul would say in Galatians 1 :18-20
Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Hey man! Awesome article! It was great reference for an email that Cindy sent to everyone at her work. Keep preaching the word brother! Was gana skype you, but thought you’d probably read this sooner.

I believe in very micro evolution, which is all that has been observed. Macro evolution is nonsense.

Good idea, but you forget one thing. God had a plan in the beginning, so he knew that it was going to happen. And he planned ahead, making sure that since we did sin, we would at least be able to survive the climate changes that He knew was going to happen.

Except… that evolution happened - happens… will continue to happen.

Do you want to deal with reality, or let your theology become a celebration of ignorance - the appearance of piety, but grounded in a lie?

Martin Luther made a similar argument for believing that the sun circled the earth, and for the same reasons… yet Christians have managed to accept the reality that the earth circles the sun with faith intact (you are living prof). You can deal with evolution as well - live in the light.

    Laughsoutloud :
You have one problem with your conclusion.
    Your premise is false.
There is no actual scientific proof that Evolution happened - happens. Sure they have many theories, ideas, and assumptions. But no hard factual evidence.

If you are so certain about your claim. Go grab $250,000

See, the question you should ask yourself is this :
Do you want to cast aside the living God and his offer of eternal life, just because of a theory that hasn’t been proven yet?

Answers in Genesis is a SHAM. They use dishonest tactics and logical fallacies to advance their theological point of view. For instance, they actually claim that dinosaurs were created alongside humans. Let’s pretend that none of the glaring contradictions carbon dating provides exist. Even if this were the case, there is simply no historical record of dinosaurs or dinosaur-like beasts following the period in which there was supposed to be a flood (remember that the Bible claims that Noah took two of every creature on his Ark). Further, they claim that there is great inaccuracy in all dating techniques- this is patently untrue for the vast majority of examples, yet AiG chooses to look only at cases (such as snails, which being sticky creatures are liable to pick up particles of any age as they travel) for which these techniques are inaccurate.

The problem with your article is that it is entirely based on scripture. This is very telling. You have transcended a point where you are willing to listen to modern, evidence-supported analysis and take a 2,000 year-old book at face value- and LITERALLY, when Paul himself cautions that many messages in the Bible could easily be metaphors. Your religion does not have a basis in logic and therefore has no basis in claiming that well-supported theories such as evolution are lies. You do yourself a disservice in continuing to limit your thoughts in this way and denigrate the work of countless hard-working scientists with this article.

If you cannot understand what others are trying to tell you about the science behind currently-accepted theory, ask someone familiar with it to explain it to you as simply as they can. Free your mind. Don’t limit it because of an old dogma.

    Hi Vardarac.
I have yet to spot any dishonest tactics or logical fallacies (and the fact that I’m studying a degree in philosophy gives me an authoritative view on logical fallacies)

You seem to generalize AIG’s view point on dating methods. Though I must say, AIG at least give an explanation why they feel these dating methods are wrong. Would you be so kind as to explain to me why they are right?

Your comment about paul cautioning his readers. The bible does indeed have different styles of writing.
They may write in poetry form, historical form, letter form and even apocalyptic form.

But the Bible is also written in such a way that we can easily distinguish between these different writing styles. If you read a book or a chapter. You should most definitely read it in context. If you do this, you will pick out the metaphors very easily.

Your claim that “my religion” does not have the basis in logic, highlights your ignorance. The bible has the premise that God is righteous, all powerful and all knowing.

I would say that all statements made in the bible are supported by this premise. To disprove any of the conclusions, you would first have to falsify the premise.

Which brings me to my conclusion :
Can you truly prove to me that God does not exist?
Because if you can’t, then logically, the bible is true.

Does anyone know what the bible say about online dating. Is it wrong or okay?
